Jerry Lee Walter, Sr., 78, of Fairmont, WV passed away on Dec. 8, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born Sept 11, 1943 in Fairmont, WV the son of the late James Henry Walter and the late Della D'Amico Walter of Fairmont, WV. He worked at Westinghouse prior to owning and operating Jerry's Electric.
He attended Immaculate Conception Church in Fairmont, WV and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. He volunteered at the Soup Opera and delivered meals on wheels. He also volunteered for missionary work to areas devasted by storms.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends Ott, Elvis, Paulette, Bob, Mike and many others. His dear friend Ott recently passed away and now they are reunited. He enjoyed playing Bocce with his fellow Knights and fishing with his friend Dave Pujals. He had a special place in his heart for his friend Roselean Reese.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James "Jimmy" Walter.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Walter, Jr. (Carmella); and daughter Amy Rundle (Todd). He was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren: Clarissa Nicholson (Michael); and Tyler Walter; Anthony Rundle (Jeanie); Alexandra Rundle, and Chance Rundle; Great grandchildren: Aubree, Byrant, and Leecie Nicholson; and William "Liam" Rundle.
The family would like to thank the staff and physicians at Fairmont Medical Center and Ruby Memorial for the outstanding care he received. Thank you to the Winfield Fire Dept for all the support given.
A special thank you to Deacon David Lester for being there during this difficult time.

Family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Vigil rites will be at the funeral home on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. followed by a vigil from the Knights of Columbus. Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 329 Maryland Avenue in Fairmont, on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Fairmont. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
