John Richard Shaffer, 50, of Mannington passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on July 25, 1968, son of Johnny Dale Shaffer and his wife Cathy, and Nancy Vincent and her husband Kenny.

John is survived by his children, Caitlin Hardesty, Addy Shaffer, and John Shaffer; grandchildren, Ryleigh and Andrew; sisters, Natalie Michael, Lori Flint and her husband Joshua, and Kelly Henderson and her husband Tim; nieces, Jena and Haylee; nephews, Hayden and Jacob; grandmother Molly Shaffer; cousins, Deandrea and Nicola Amendola; and an uncle, Gregory Amendolea.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Alvida Amendolea; and his paternal grandfather, John Shaffer.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation services, provided by Domico Funeral Home, will follow.
