John H. Thompson, 62, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born March 17, 1960, Son of the late Earl B. Thompson and Geraldine (Ice) Thompson.

John is survived by his daughter, Amanda Gibson (Jeffrey) of McConnellsburg, PA, and two grandchildren, Eli and Amelia Gibson; his sister, Connie Butcher (George) of Fairmont; a niece, Sarah Vessecchia; nephews, Joseph Vessecchia and David Vessecchia; cousins, Melissa Hunter and Andy Thompson; and his aunt, Sue Thompson McArthur.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two brothers, David and Earl "Tom" Thompson.

John was a 1978 graduate of FSHS. He was a skilled mechanic, an avid muscle car and Harley Davidson enthusiast.

John's sarcastic wit, keen sense of humor, and practical worldview was enjoyed by all who shared his company.
