Joshua Shane Fitzwater, 40, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020.  He was born December 14, 1979 in Fairmont, a son of Loanne Fitzwater of Fairview

Josh was a complete outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping among many other outdoor activities.  He was a 1998 graduate at North Marion High School. After high school, Josh left for the Marine Corps where he received a Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal.  In the Marines, Josh was a huge asset to the Combat Engineer Section on the Engineer Platoon. Josh was a family man; he loved his children dearly. He was Baptist by faith and taxidermist by trade.

In addition to his mother, Josh is survived by three children, April, Gavin, and Wesley Fitzwater; two brothers, Matt St.Clair and wife Kimmy, and Justin Fitzwater and wife Stefani; nephews Elija Fitzwater and Ty Gandy; cousins, Charles Brown III and Heather Moore; aunts, Traci Lough, Debra, and Sylvia; and his fiance's parents, Harry Swift and wife Cheryl Clark.  He is also survived by several other aunts, uncles, nephews, military brothers, and many friends.

Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jaunita Ashcraft and Virgil Canfield; paternal grandparents, Missouri and Otmer Fitzwater; an aunt; and Keith Fitzwater.
