Joyce Ann Bailey, 59, of Fairmont, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born August 27th 1965, in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Judy Morrison and John Bailey.
Joyce was a proud paramedic and EMT, a career that she began in the mid 1980's and continued for over 30 years. She worked for the Marion County Rescue Squad, Taylor County Emergency Medical Services, Boothesville Fire Department, Anmoore Fire Department, Jan Care and several other Emergency Services in the tri-county area. Joyce enjoyed spending time with loved ones and helping others. She was an active member of Beulah Baptist Church. Joyce was a kind soul who took care of everyone around her. She loved her family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand and put a smile on your face. Joyce never knew a stranger and was a loving, vibrant person.
Joyce is survived by her brother, John Bailey and wife Jennifer of Fairmont; a niece, Madison Bailey of Fairmont; a nephew Cody Bailey of New Jersey and many other loving family members.
In addition to her sister, Janet Bailey's death in 2021, Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents, Judy Morrison and John Bailey, paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Bailey; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Doris DeBarr, and several other beloved family members who were all awaiting her arrival in Heaven.
Joyce was a beloved sister, daughter, and friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont, on Sunday November 3, 2024 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday November 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday November 4, 2024 at 1p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Melinda Suplita officiating. The interment will follow at Grove Cemetery in Monongah. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that, if you can, please make donations directly to Domico funeral home to help with final expenses. However, any gifts are appreciated.
