Kenneth Ray Shaver, 74, of Monongah passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was born July 1, 1944, son of the late Arlie Shaver and Eva Davis Shaver.

Kenneth graduated from Monongah High School and retired from the Middletown Mall. He was also previously employed by Owens Illinois. He was a member of the Monongah Baptist Church. Kenneth was an avid WVU and Steelers fan and enjoyed watching sports, sitting on his porch, camping, fishing, and traveling to Myrtle Beach.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mitzi Shaver; children, Carolyn Sue Fletcher and her husband Kevin of Fairmont, Ronald Ray Shaver and his wife Jenny Ann of Monongah, and James Arlie Shaver and his wife Christina of Monongah; grandchildren, Mariah Braxton Hoit, Alexandria Dawn Shaver, and Katelyn Sue Fletcher; step grandchildren, Steven Haught and Corbin Sypult; brothers, Arlie Eugene Shaver and his wife Genia of Hutchinson and James Shaver and his wife Betty of Farmington; sister, Carolyn "Dee Dee" Shaver of Hutchinson; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alice Rae Glasscock and William of St. Albans; and a close family member and friend, Richard Blocker.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a grandson, Gavin Braydon Shaver; his brothers, William "Billy" Shaver and his wife Eleanor, and Charles Shaver; his sister, Martha Collins and her husband Lawrence; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James L. Blocker and Ann K. Blocker.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, March 7, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Huckins officiating.
