Kenneth Brooks Thompson, 68, of Fairmont passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Meadowview Manor Health Care Center in Bridgeport. He was born August 29, 1948 in Fairmont, WV, son of Knowlen Thompson of Fairmont and the late Virginia Lee (Baker) Thompson.
Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a construction worker and crane operator, and attended the Everlasting Covenant Church in Fairmont. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his two dogs, Tinker and Haley.
He is survived by his wife, Karen "Susie" (Garrison) Thompson of Fairmont; five children, Terri Lynn, Michael Thompson, Nicole Thompson, Kevin Stingo and wife Libby of Buckhannon, Jennifer Sloan and husband Tom of Fairmont; two brothers, Roger Thompson and wife Diana of Fairmont, Brian Thompson and wife Jeanette of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Brandon, Britni, Ben, and Emily Stingo, Courtney and Justin Sloan; and several great grandchildren. Kenny also leaves behind two very special friends, Richard and Sue Berry who helped him and his family so much through this difficult time.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 11 to 3 p.m. Saturday with the funeral service being held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Preston and Pastor James Saunders officiating.
