Obituary

Krista Kathyrn Welch Tibbetts passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2 in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was the wife of Rich Tibbetts of Southbridge, Massachusetts and the mother of Ashlynne, Ava and RJ also of Southbridge. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Laurie Hannah (David), brother Drew Hannah (Diandra) and sister Kirbee (Jamie) Allard all of Fairmont. She is also survived by her father, Brant Welch of Nashville, Tennessee. Other family members who survive her include her paternal grandmother, Beverly Welch, with whom Krista lived at the time of her passing and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and other family members who will miss her and remember the great times spent with her over the years.

Krista was preceded in death by an infant son, Connor Tibbetts, her paternal grandfather, Sardie Welch, her maternal grandparents, Anthony (Tony) and Billie Audia, and uncles Howard and Jimmy Welch and an aunt, Sherry Audia Jarrell.

Krista was born in Fairmont in 1975 and was an honors graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and West Virginia University. She worked tirelessly to support her college efforts and was an inspiration to those who knew how hard she labored. She also served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged when her term of service ended.

A precocious youngster from the start, she was talking and reading even before entering elementary school. Family and friends invariably smile when rembering she proudly called herself "Keeta K." She grew up with several cousins who were close to her in age and spent time in Tennessee attending summer camps with them. She loved to have fun and reminisce with family and will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her. May you remain in God's loving care, Krista.
