Larry Nolan Payton, 69, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026. He was born in Gassaway, WV on May 7, 1957, a son of the late Clarence and Betty Payton.

Larry was a track foreman for CSX Railroad and loved farming.

Larry is survived by his wife, Linda Payton; children, Larry Payton and his wife Phyllis of Fairview, Lori George and her husband Donald of Daisy Town, PA, and Tiffany Mesidor and her husband Ricardo of Fairview; grandchildren, Travis Payton (Jessica), Isaac Payton, Ashley Crossman (Justine), Tyler Payton, Brenden Payton, Brianna Beverage (Nate), Hunter Barron (Amiee), Arianna Barron, Abbigayle George, Brooklyn Gore, Johkari Mesidor, Jalen Mesidor, and Lourel George; several great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Payton, LeeAnn Payton, and Cindy Payton.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Payton; and three brothers, Butch Payton, Robert Payton, and Mike Payton.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street in Fairview, on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The service will follow on Friday at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
