Linda Charlene (Martino) Knoble, 71, of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 4, 1947 in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Audia) Martino.
Linda graduated from Fairmont Senior High in 1965. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Education from Fairmont State College and received her Masters degree from West Virginia University. She was one of the first teachers at East Dale Elementary and taught 3 rd grade for many years. She was a member of the local Multiple Sclerosis Sunshine support group. Linda was a devout Catholic and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont. Some of her favorite activities were teaching and spending time with her three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Knoble; daughter, Charlene; son, Michael (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Emma, Adalynn, and Allison Knoble.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose Martino and her infant daughter, Michelle Lynn Knoble.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Vigil Rites will be celebrated on Friday at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. with Father Jojan Joseph and Sister Stella Cronauer. The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
