Lois Ann
Wilmoth
Jan 12, 1947 — Jul 4, 2021
Lois Ann Wilmoth, 74, unexpectedly and peacefully passed away at home on July 4, 2021. She was born on January 12, 1947 in Akron, OH to the late Paul and Blanche Vercammen.
She and her husband of 55 years, James R. Wilmoth, resided in Rivesville with their baby girl, Megan. She is also survived by her sons; James P. Wilmoth of Rivesville, Steve and Shelley Wilmoth also of Rivesville, and Brian and Angel Wilmoth of Richmond Hill, GA, her sister, Jean Reed and husband Marvin of Charleston, WV, her nieces, Shari Reed of Charleston, WV and Cindy Miller and husband Lester of Morgantown, WV, as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and people who loved her immensely.
Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and her grandsons; Zach Wilmoth, Noah Wilmoth, and Matthew Wilmoth, who will miss her dearly.
Lois is preceded in death, but reunited in heaven with her parents, Paul and Blanche Vercammen.
Lois was a 1965 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and then received her associate degree of nursing from Fairmont State College. She worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital in the Labor and Delivery department and Morgan Manor Nursing Home before resigning to stay home to love and care for her children.
Lois' greatest love, besides her husband, was her family. She loved all of us being together and just enjoying time with each other. She loved traveling and looked forward to yearly beach trips and trips to visit her family in Georgia. She also liked to read and binge watch Netflix shows with her daughter.
Lois was an incredible human being who taught her family the meaning of unconditional love. She loved her family with everything she had, despite their faults and mistakes they made along the way. She kept the family "in check" when they needed it. Her family lovingly referred to her as "The Warden" with a laugh.
Lois only wanted a private ceremony with her immediate family to celebrate her life and their love for her in peace. A private family viewing will be held at Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont, WV followed by a small memorial service before cremation. As part of her wishes, part of her ashes will be laid to rest with her parents at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery and the remaining will return to the Wilmoth home in Rivesville so she can continue to watch over and be with her family.
You were so loved, momma.
