Obituary

Lula Mae Robison, 96, of McMurray, PA, (formerly a resident of Fairview, WV,) passed away Monday, August 10, 2026. She was born in Fairview on March 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Elza Foley and Nellie (Parker) Foley.

Lula made beautiful homemade quilts and was a member of the Pumpkin Center Church of Christ. Throughout the years she was employed at the Fairview Diner, the Mon Power store in Fairview and Fairmont, and she wrote articles in the Fairview Newspaper. Lula was a “die-hard” Mountaineer and Pirates Fan! In the time she wasn’t quilting, working, or watching her favorite sports teams, you might find her reading a book or working a puzzle.

Lula is survived by her children, James P. (Chris) Robison of Pennsylvania and Robert A. (Betty) Robison of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Stephanie (Danny) Cooper, Lindsay (Pete) Laxton, Jared Robison, Heather N. Robison, and Marshall E. Robison; great grandchildren, MaKenna Laxton, Adam Cooper, Mara Cooper, Ezra Laxton, and Kya Laxton; sister, Alice Sue Ray of Ripley, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Robison; and siblings, Edith Darrah and William Foley.

The family will receive friends at Fairview Church of Christ; 18 Darrah Lane in Fairview, on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday August 15, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 with Evangelist Mark Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Benefield Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
