Margherita Daisy Giuseppina Giovanna Breghi Ruggiero, 95, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1926 to Onorato and Gemma Broccoletti Breghi (Draghini) in San Remo, Italy. She was married to Samuel Ruggiero for 40 years until his passing in 1985. Mrs. Ruggiero had 5 children – Tina Ruggiero, Lilly (Robert) Mikol, Giovanna (Frank) DeSantis, Gina (Tom) Llaneza, and Sam (Anita) Ruggiero. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son, Sam, her daughter, Tina, her brother, Giovanni Breghi, and her sisters, Tina Breghi, Maestrale and Marisa Draghini, and her good friend, Jack Golden. Mrs. Ruggiero had 8 grandchildren – Christy Mikol Scherf, Joe Mikol, Frank Llaneza, David Llaneza, Sammy Ruggiero, Nick Ruggiero, Michael Ruggiero, and Laura DeSantis Meier. She also had 13 beautiful great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Gianfranco Draghini, and family in both the U.S. and Italy.

Mrs. Ruggiero came to America in 1945 after her marriage to her husband, Sam, a WWII Veteran. She and her family were supportive member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

Visitation will take place at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Vigil Rites performed at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon David Lester Mrs. Ruggiero's life will be celebrated by a Catholic Funeral Liturgy at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
