Marianna Julian Asterino sweetly rejoined her beloved husband Joe in the early hours of Thursday, March 7, 2024. She had spent the last three years living at Pleasant Acres Christian Haven, where she was adored and spoiled by the Director and attentive staff.

Marianna was born in Bremerhaven, Germany, the first child and daughter of Tony and Minnie Julian, in late March of 1947. She and her mother arrived here a year later, where she grew up in Kingmont, WV. She attended East Fairmont High School and graduated Class of '65. During her younger years, she worked at Hartley's Department Store, and later attended Fairmont State and Clarksburg Beauty Academy.

She and Joe married in 1972, and raised Tommy and Brandi in Fairmont, WV. As well as a wife, homemaker, and mother, she worked at Astro Buick Olds Inc. for several years. She was active in her church Trinity Assembly of God, working in the early childhood ministry and singing in the choir. In 2003, she excitedly added the role of "MiMi" when Jade Baron was born, and later followed by Lakyn Baron, and Delila Powell.

Marianna was known to be very fierce and feisty for the people whom she loved and cared about. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh as well. She was never afraid to stand up for her beliefs, her passions, and her people.

Marianna is survived by her children Thomas (Cessna) Baron and Brandi (Chris Capobianco) Asterino; sister Toni (Jim) Miller; brother Sam (Glenda) Julian; grandchildren Jade Baron, Lakyn Baron, Delila Powell, and Ava Capobianco; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Though she will definitely be missed by those of us she left here, great comfort is found that she is celebrating her arrival in Heaven and a happy reunion with her husband.

The family has entrusted Domico Funeral Home with funeral arrangements. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday, March 11, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be Monday, March 11, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Skip Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pleasant Acres Christian Haven at 41 Pleasant Acres Drive, Fairmont, WV.
