Mark Edward Gerkin, 65, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on March 22, 1953, son of Betty Lou Ross Gerkin and Frederick Gerkin.

Mark enjoyed riding his Harley and his horses. He retired from the Green River Group as a superintendent.

Mark is survived by his companion and wife of over 20 years, Tara Gerkin; one daughter, Amanda Allenby and her husband Randy; a sister, Lea Ann Gerkin; step daughters, Tonya and Amanda Goodnight; and four grandchildren.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lou and Frederick Gerkin.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Pet Helpers 726 East Park Avenue Fairmont, WV 26554.
