Marlene Kay
Haller Barrow
May 23, 1955 — Mar 17, 2023
Marlene Kay Haller Barrow, age 67, of Fairmont, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 17, 2023 with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend whose absence leave a great void.
Marlene was born May 23, 1955 in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Harold H. "Junie" Haller, Jr. and Mary L. (Ballard) Haller. She retired from UPS in 2011 with 30 years of service. Then, started a second career at Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Throughout her busy life, she spent countless hours sewing, cooking, and baking then sharing the fruits of her labor with others. Rarely would you find her sitting still, unless you were lucky to spend time on her back porch in the summer. She loved spending time with family and friends. She had a zest for life and the sense of humor to accompany it. Even during her hardest moments, she was able to lift our spirits and make us laugh.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, D. Wayne Barrow, whom she married on July 27, 1990; four children, Stephanie Sigley of Morgantown, Adam Sigley and his wife Jen of Fairmont, Patrick Barrow and his wife Liz of Castle Rock, CO, and Stefanie Hurst and husband Eric of Fairmont; two granddaughters Makalynn Powell of Morgantown, and Maggie Grace Hurst of Morgantown; a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Paul Sigley of Grafton, WV; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, the sewing girls, Linda, Jo, Mary, Becky, and Shiela; her BFF, BJ Lemasters; and her sweet pup, Isabella "Izzy."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gary Haller and James Haller; and her twin sister, Charlene Boylen.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her hospice nurse, Courtnie. We could not have picked you more perfectly ourselves.
In honor of Marlene's life, the family asks that you spread love, laughter, and kindness "just because."
Arrangements are under the care of Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
