Martha Mabel Girod Withers, age 89, of Boothsville, WV, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2021. She was the daughter of the late George and Sylvia Girod.

She was a homemaker who loved her husband and her children. An avid gardener and skilled baker, she generously shared her flowers and desserts. Camping and hunting with family and friends gave her joy. She loved her church at Hephzibah Baptist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milford "Curt" Withers and her sons, Richard and Michael Withers; and her siblings, William Girod, Anna Jones, George "Bud" Girod, James Paul Girod, Levada "Dib" Hutson, and Edward David Girod.

Surviving is a sister, Fanna Shaver of Shirley Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews, including Kathy Bland, Lou Ann Glaspell, and Karen Temple.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dwayne Keener officiating.
