Mary Madeline Oliverio, 95, of Fairmont passed away January 25, 2020 in Lancaster, South Carolina.
Madeline was born on September 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Genovese.
In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Oliverio in 2015, sisters Veatrice Falbo, Rose Gardi, Josephine Kopasz, Julia Ross and a young sister Adelina Genovese; a half sister Helen Pacciocco; and two half-brothers Sam Julian and Bill Julian.
Madeline is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Minor of Arvada, Colorado, Mary C and Steve Hoylman of Pompano Beach, FL, and Benita and Don DePriest of Lancaster, SC; her sister-in-law Lily Julian; four grandsons, Aaron (Gaby) Minor, Brian (Kelsey) Minor, Christopher DePriest and Nathan (Stephanie) DePriest. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and 4 great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Saint Elizabeth Guild and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1660 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wishing Well Assisted Living Facility in Fairmont where she resided from 2015 until August 2018 and also the staff of Morningside of Lancaster, SC. Madeline and Sam enjoyed 60 years in their home on Shirlane Avenue in Fairmont, WV.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Vigil rites will be on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Anothony's Catholic Church in Fairmont on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Vincy Illikal as celebrant. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
