Mary Catherine VanPelt was born February 26, 1945 in Fairmont, WV. Mary lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. For the past 40 years, she made her home in Katy, where she was a devoted and active member of Willow Tree Baptist Church, giving generously of her time and spirit to her church community.

Mary had a deep love for animals and joyful passion for singing, but above all, she cherished caring for her family. They meant everything to her, and the warmth she gave them will be remembered always.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford VanPelt, Sr.; her daughter, Vicky VanPelt; and her son, Clifford VanPelt, Jr.

Mary is survived by her son, Richard VanPelt; her five grandchildren, Dusty, Aaron, Mitchelle, Abigail, and Madison; and he two great grandchildren, Ryker and Augustine. 

Her family will carry her memory forward with love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
