Maxine Loretta McCoy, 86, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was born in Farmington, WV on October 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Willis Supter and Mildred Larkin Supter.

Maxine was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, and Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, and enjoyed using the computer.

Maxine is survived by her children, Theresa L. McCoy, Leslie A. Freeman and fiancée Cristie Gross, and Christopher Freeman; grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Tiffany L. Johnson-Lake and Goran Lake, Niki Naylor, Isaiah Vannatta, Jocelynn Bowman, and Nicole Freeman; great grandchildren, Xavier G. Lake, and William Freeman; sister, Ceola Houston; sister-in-law, Sharon Supter; and a host of friends, niece, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, George W. McCoy; her siblings, Barbara J. Davis, Willis Supter Jr., Frederick Samon, and Ulysses Samon.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Hines officiating.
