Maxine Morrison, formerly of Monongah, died at Fitzwaters Assisted Living on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. She was born February 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Troy and Devinna Nichols. She will be remembered for the love of travel, her family, and her friends.

Maxine is survived by one daughter, Debby Harden; son-in-law, Bill Wright; grandchildren, Geoff and Erika Harden, Sarah Harden, Robert and Patty Wright, Michael and Joy Wright, and Rebecca Wright; great grandchildren, Sienna and Eloise Harden, Adele and Carly Wright, Larry and Stacy Wright, and Jaden Curtis; great great grandchildren, Rowan and Lola Wright, and Kiara Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Morrison; daughter, Linda Wright; son-in-law, Gary Harden; brothers, Robert Nichols, Fritz Nichols, Lionel Nichols; and a sister, Eileen Stansberry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Monongah Baptist Church, 256 Lyndon Avenue, Monongah, WV 26554, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Fitzwaters Assisted Living and all employees for their loving and excellent care that she received during her stay.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Huckins officiating.
