Michelle N. Shackelford, 79, of Fairmont passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, after a short unexpected illness.

Michelle was born May 8, 1945 in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Nick and Frances Fazio.

Michelle graduated from East Fairmont High School. She retired from Belk Department Store (previously Proffitt's) where she worked as a top sales associate for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and volunteered in the kitchen shortly after retirement. She enjoyed cooking, reading, games, crocheting and sharing time with friends. She looked forward to long calls with her special cousins, Mary Ann and Donna. She found support, love and caring with a long time friend, Kim Branham, to which much appreciation is extended. She truly adored her loving companion, Lily, her dog.

She is preceded in death by Leon Richards, a long life companion. She is survived by several cousins and many friends.

Arrangements are through Domico Funeral Home and upon completion, a funeral mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Fairmont, followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Monongah, WV.
