Obituary

Mildred "Diane" (Bice) Bombard, 73, of Everson, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fairmont, January 26, 1948, daughter of Helen Bice Wilmoth and the late Ward Bice, Jr. of Fairmont.

Diane was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah and recently enjoyed services at the Everson Baptist Church. Over her years, she was involved with the church as a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and assisted in numerous dinners and fundraising events.

Diane was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and worked at Westinghouse/Phillips for 25 years. Diane was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends who especially loved her blackberry pie. She loved her yearly trips to Amish country in Berlin, OH, as well as her monthly luncheons with Carolyn "Mandi" Keener and her old high school friends. Diane also enjoyed time spent with her sister-in-law, Alice McDougal and family. Diane described Jimmie and Erica Garrett and family, who adopted her loveable dog, Sadie, as "the best neighbors she could ever ask for."

In addition to her father, Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Charles Robert "Bob" Bombard.

Diane is survived by her mother, Helen Bice Wilmoth of Pleasant Valley; her brother and his family, Bill and Barbara Bice. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, who always put a smile on her face.

Her niece, Desiree Bombard, cared for her in her last several years of life and was with her in passing. The family gives her and everyone else who cared for Diane their greatest gratitude.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, WV. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Domico Funeral Home with Father Vincent Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Enterprise, WV. The pallbearers will be Jimmie and Michael Garrett, Mike Bombard, Zachary, Joshua, and Joe Bombard. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
