Nancy Lea Leary, 81, of Daybrook, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at her
home with her loving children by her side. She was born on March 18, 1943, the daughter of
the late Orval Wayne Eddy and Martha Blendine Eddy.

Nancy was a homemaker. She loved to cook, bake, and work in her flower garden. She was
an avid Mountaineer fan. She enjoyed her puzzle books, quilting, and playing cards. Nancy
also enjoyed attending church and singing hymns. Most of all, she enjoyed having her
children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren around her.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband, William C.
Gum and her late husband of 44 years, Donald R. Leary (Weasel), as well as a sister, Gatha
Gail, and two brothers, Jimmy and Jack Eddy, and a very special sister-in-law, Silvia Eddy.
Nancy is survived by her children: Darenda Gum Haun (David) of Idamay, William Gum
(Carla) of Daybrook, Jeffrey Gum (Marsha) of Daybrook, and Marla Leary of Daybrook;
grandchildren: Dustin Moore, Nikita Moore, Arielle Leary (Tyler), Alex Gum (Hayley), Hunter
Gum (Brittany), Gunner Gum, Maverick Gum, and Arrow Gum; great grandchildren: Clayton
Knotts, Reuben Moore, and Harper Yankulic; siblings: Peg Chisler (late Jerry) , Herb Eddy
(Sandy), Donnie Eddy (Nancy), Fred Eddy (Kim), and Randy Eddy (Patty) and several nieces
and nephews and her fur babies.

At the request of the deceased, cremation will be handled by Domico Funeral Home in
Fairmont. A private interment will be held at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton.
Friends and family may call at the grave side service on March 22, 2025 at noon at the
Daybrook Cemetery in Daybrook, WV with Pastor Freddie Eddy officiating.
