Nina Darlene Haas, 67, of Fairmont, lost her battle with Cancer and passed away (Saturday, 2:26 am, 01/28/2023), at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wallace on January 10, 1956, a daughter of the late Arzie Ray Swiger, Sr., and Martha Madaline Mahana-Swiger. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Haas, whom she married March 22, 2001.

Also surviving are her children: Roger Sprout Jr, and his wife Angela Sprout, of Murfreesboro TN, Christina Taylor and her husband Stephen of Smyrna TN, and Melissa Rodriguez of Tullahoma TN; two stepsons, Lawrence Haas of Nashville TN and Garreth Haas of Fairmont; six grandchildren: Kayla Sprout, of Smyrna TN, Austin Sprout, of Murfreesboro TN, Dereck Taylor, and Emily Taylor of Smyrna TN, Alyssa Pesina, of Monteagle TN, and Alaina Pesina of Fairmont; one great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Spout, of Smyrna TN; sisters: Alda (Elmer) Duncan of Stonewood, Bonita (Robert) Tate of New Galilee, PA, Donna (Paul) Henline of Barrackville, and Debbie (Jeff) Bennett of Bridgeport; a brother, Earl (Georgia) Swiger of Bridgeport; her sister-in-law, Nancy Ellen (Mike) Corley of Kingwood, TX; and several nieces and nephews who complete her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Arzie Ray Swiger, II, Harold Eugene Swiger, James David Swiger, and Esther Imogene Duncan.

Darlene , as she was known by friends and family, was an extremely loving, tender hearted, and giving person. She loved God with all her being and always treated everyone with His love and compassion. She always supported my military career and was there for other soldiers families throughout her 20 years as a Military Spouse.  She loved children so much that while she was in Kansas, she was a Foster Parent for over 15 children. Not only loving and caring for the children, she was a force of nature for the rights of each child. She even went to the former Governors residence to fight for the programs that one of the children deserved. She was instrumental in raising her Granddaughters, Alyssa and Alaina throughout their adolescence till adulthood.

She was an avid Genealogist, which she had been doing for over 40 years. She spent numerous hours researching, getting supporting documents and developing factual and accurate family trees for her family. She also actively helped friends that she made with their Family Trees and provided information to different Genealogy organizations.
