Norma Jean Butcher, 71, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. She was born in Fairmont on November 11, 1947, daughter of the late Lesley and Edna Osborne.

Norma Butcher loved her dogs and her kitchen, especially her lock & lock. She enjoyed playing facebook games and watching movies on her iPad. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and met with several of her school friends once a month to eat. In her younger years she also enjoyed rollerskating and swimming at the 12 ^th Street Pool. Norma was outgoing with an ornery sense of humor. She never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved 50s and 60s music and was an amazing dancer. Anyone who knew her has a story to tell about a good memory of her.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Leslie Butcher and her companion Jennifer Hatfield; close family members, Stephanie Fortney, Ashley Newman, Matt Hines, Steve Moore; grandchildren, Brittany and her husband Scotty Cobun, Kyle Fortney, Ryan Fortney, Kaden Butcher, Elijah Little, Alexis Hatfield, and Gabriel Hatfield; great grandchildren, Aryanna Shaye Butcher, Brooklyn Skye Butcher, Chayce Alexander Cobun; a nephew, Kevin Keener and his wife Kim; and a close friend, Mendy Dick.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Butcher; her son, Rocky Butcher; and her brother, Robert "Bobby" Osborne.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating.
