He was a man of honor and his family was his greatest joy.  His memory will forever be a source of comfort.

Phillip Tarley, 77, passed away Friday, Jan. 03, 2020 at Ruby Memorial, surrounded by his loving family.  Phillip was born May 23, 1942 to the late Anton and Susanna Tarley in Century, WV.  He is preceded in death by the love of his life Betha Tarley.

Phillip's lifetime career was being a machinist.  He loved coaching baseball and enjoyed watching them grow in fundamentals.  Phillip also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, but his most favorite was spending time with family.

Phillip is survived by a son, Phillip Tarley of Fairmont; a daughter, Phillis Tarley of Philippi; a grandson, Spencer Tarley (Destiny Gerard) of Fairmont; 3 granddaughters, Johnna Croston (Miles Crosten) of Philippi, Hannah Tarley (Tanner Barnes), and Brittany McDonald (Trevor Webbs) of Manley Chapel; 2 great granddaughters, Maysa and Summer Croston; 2 brothers, Carlo Tarley (Cathy Tarley), and John Tarley (Mickey Tarley); 3 sisters, Martha Buchholtz (William Buchholtz), Anna Lee Delovich, and Eve Robertson; 3 sisters-in-law, Charlotte Martin (Ralph Martin), Rita Jocobin (Robert Jocobin), Linda Kose (Joseph Kose); a brother-in-law, James Wilmoth (Lois Wilmoth); and a daughter-in-law, Monica Tennant.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and an extended family who loved him very much.

In addition to his wife and his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his youngest son, Dewey Tarley; 4 brothers, Tony, Joe, Marco, and Dewey Tarley; 4 sisters-in-laws, Cheri Long, Viola Wilmoth, Marcella Tarley, and Margaret Tarley; a nephew, Ty Tarley; a niece, Alexis Hayes; and a brother-in-law, Homer Delovich.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont on Monday, January 06, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 07. 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 08, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Domico Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating.  The interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com .
