Robert Anthony Composky "Ziggy", 85, of Idamay, passed away on May 9, 2025 in his home. He was born May 16, 1939 in Grant Town, WV.

Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patty; his daughter, Tina Courtney of Marietta, OH; his son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Shelly; and his two grandsons, Austin and Dylan Composky. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, John and Sherry McCoy of Bowling Green, KY; and brother-in-law, Jack Hawkins.

In addition to his parents, Zigmund and Gladys (Harper) Composky, Robert was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Composky; a twin brother, James Austin; sisters, Cecilia Hawkins and Mary Lou Composky; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Sonny) and Janette (Pinky) Mijcynoiz; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Mijcynoiz; and sister-in-law, Joann Stoehr.

He was retired from Robinson Run Coal Mines in Shinnston. He enjoyed playing poker and Friday night with his "poker guys", and the "Wednesday Gang" for lunch each week. He loved these guys so much.

Robert's wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Wednesday, May 14, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating.
