Robert Allen Reed, 71, of Fairmont, formerly of Arden, passed away November 4, 2026 at home. He is the son of the late Alfred and Beverly Dean Reed.

Allen is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patty Campbell Reed, a sister Sheri Lynn Staten of Point Marion, Step children Buddy (Sonia) VanGilder, Jeffrey (Cassie) VanGilder, Brother-in-law Ken (Jane) Campbell, nieces and nephews Douglas (Geneva) Staten, Brandon Staton, Sara (Justin) Trump, Brianna (Rob) Martin, Kendra (Robert) Talerico, Aaron (Courtney) Rutter, Courtney (Bobby) Parks, and several grand nieces and nephews and grandchildren, and many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbie Clarke, Debbie Scarford, brother-in-laws David Staten and Blaine Scarford.

Allen worked as a welder/fabricator in several power plants and transfer stations. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved nothing more than camping with friends, especially at his place in Arden. Allen had a wonderful sense of humor and he loved pulling pranks on his friends.

A memorial will be held at a later date at his camp in Arden.
