Rockson "Rocky" Butcher, 50, of Monongah passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was born in Fairmont on February 29, 1968, son of Norma Osborne Butcher and the late William Eddie Butcher.

Rocky was involved with the Marion County Special Olympics and a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed collecting model kits, animals, and dancing.

Rocky is survived by his children, Kyle Fortney, Ryan Fortney, Kaden Butcher, and Brittany and Scotty Cobun of Stonewood; his fiancée, Ashley Newman; his sister, Leslie Lynne Butcher and her companion Jennifer Hatfield; grandchildren, Aryanna Shaye Butcher, Brooklyn Skye Butcher, and Chayce Alexander Cobun; cousin, Kevin and Kim Keener; and good friends, Mendy Dick and Matt Hines.

In addition to his father, Rocky was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lesley and Edna Osborne, paternal grandparents, Albert and Mary Butcher; uncle, Robert "Bobby" Osborne; and aunt, Sue Baney.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating.
