Ronald Junior Haught, 82, of Fairview, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. He was born May 28, 1939 in Fairview, the son of the late Lloyd Haught and Virginia Rice Haught.

Ronald retired from Mountain Spring Coal Company and was previously employed by Owens Illinois, Eastern Coal, and Joann Mine in Rachel. He was a member of the Lions Club. He was a Deacon at St. Paul Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school.

Ronald was one of the pillars of Fairview. He won the Mary Sturm Award, was the MC of the Fairview 4 ^th of July Celebration and member of the Board of Directors of the Fairview Public Library. He was a plethora of sports history and loved sports, especially basketball, Fairmont State University, West Virginia University, and Fairview athletics.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann Butcher and her husband Ed of Grafton; granddaughters, Deveny Ann Crane and Taylor Ann Butcher and her fiancée Logan Sayres; great grandchildren, Deklen Grant Crane and Emryn Dawn Crane; a former son-in-law, Nick Crane; and his cat, Missy.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marlene Tuttle Haught, who he married on September 2, 1966, and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street Fairview, WV, on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will lie in state at St. Paul Baptist Church in Fairview on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be at St. Paul Baptist Church on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Harker officiating.
