Obituary

Ronald Ray Wolfe of Fairmont, WV passed away on May 25, 2021, at the Stonerise Nursing Home in Clarksburg, WV surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 8, 1950, in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of Harold Lloyd Wolfe, Sr. and Lillie Slobadzian.  After graduating from Fairmont Senior, Ron enlisted in the Marines where he served from 1967-1975.  While serving his country in Vietnam, he was awarded Two Purple Hearts, Combat Distinguished Service Award, Cross of Gallantry for his actions during Operation Dewey Canyon.  He served in the 3 rd Marine Division, 3 rd Battalion and 9 th Marines in India Company.

After receiving an honorable discharge, he worked for Mercantile Bank in Moundsville, WV, was the manager of Hardee's in Florida and was a salesman for Harry Green's Chevrolet in Morgantown and Clarksburg, WV.

Ron was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia Mountaineers on television with his faithful dog Lucky by his side.

Ron is survived by his daughter Wendy Maxim and her husband Corey of Youngstown, Ohio, sister Dianne Wolfe Maselli and husband Carmen of Pawleys Island, SC., four grandchildren, Jasmine Stine and husband Brandon, Cameron Maxim, Morgan Maxim and Courtney Maxim, all of Youngstown, Ohio. Nieces, Dr. Lisa Maselli and husband Robert Horvath of Pawleys Island, SC, Amy Maselli of Richmond, VA, Trisha Nuzum of Shinnston, WV, Bobbi Jo Harbert and husband Ron, of Bridgeport, WV, Tina Talerico and husband Scott of Lost Creek, WV and brother-in-law, Robert R. Parrish of Shinnston, WV and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Geraldine Parrish (Jerri), Harold Lloyd Wolfe, Jr. (Butch) and stepfather, Andrew Slobadzian.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held June 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Hospice, Alzheimer's Foundation, or charity of your choice.
