Rosa Barta
Deli
Apr 2, 1924 — Jun 24, 2019
Rosa Barta Deli, 95, formerly of Kellytown, WV, peacefully entered into rest with her faithful and loving husband and a few friends at her bedside, on Monday, June 24, 2019. She was born in Kellytown on April 2, 1924, a daughter of the late Charles Barta and Rosa Filop Barta.
Rosa is survived by her husband, Frank Deli, who was her best friend and soul mate. They were married for 62 years. The mere mention of her name still makes his eyes twinkle. When asked today what were some of his favorite memories with her, he delightfully recalled the times they dated and said that they did everything together all these many years. I remember her saying she would never want to do or say anything that would bring him any shame. They always put God first in their lives together. They shared much joy and laughter.
Also surviving are two sweet and devoted sisters; Emma Barta Knight of Kellytown and Irene Barta D'Amico of Michigan. They remained close all their adult lives. Rosa leaves behind many cherished and dear friends, neighbors, and church family.
She worked at Westinghouse Electric for 40 years. The last job she held was an Inspector on the Automatics on HAPLINE. After retiring, she and Frank worked tirelessly manicuring the large yard and home they shared. She loved planting flowers and a garden. The garden was picture perfect, never a weed one. She either canned or froze much that was grown. She loved sharing the vegetables they produced. The ones they gave away were the very best, never a spot or a blemish. She always washed and wrapped them in and placed in a brown paper bag or a wax paper lined box. She was also a flawless seamstress. She loved refinishing old furniture and doing upholstery, as well. How she loved to bake confections. Everything that popped from her oven was perfection. She was a deep thinker and problem solver. Her mind remained very sharp. She loved the Lord and was a committed and faithful servant in the church, serving in anyway possible. She attended New Life Ministries on Manley Chapel Road in Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
The family would like to give a very special thank you to Wishing Well Assisted Living/Pierpont Center Nurses and Support Staff. The care, attention, respect, and deep regard to every detail of daily living has not gone unnoticed. No doubt, you are the unsung heroes, for your loving dedication and quality care of Rosa and all of your residents in your care. Rosa truly loved each of you.
