Rose Jacquez Cliburn, 85 years old, of Pasadena, TX, died on 10/9/2019. She was born in 1934 in Dakota, WV, the youngest daughter of the late Marcus Jacquez Sr. and Patrocinio Juarez Jacquez, wife of James M. Cliburn Sr. She was a 1952 graduate of St. Peter's High School, Fairmont, WV. She is survived by eight children, James Cliburn and wife Jill of Pasadena, TX, Cindy Smith and husband Erich of Baytown, TX, Tom Cliburn of Geneva, NY, Chris Cliburn and wife Debra of League City, TX, Joseph Cliburn of Baytown, TX, Rebecca Reed of Pasadena, TX, John Cliburn and wife Lisa of Mechanicsburg, PA and Greg Cliburn and wife Jennifer of Big Flats, NY, two brothers, Julius Jacquez and wife Charlotte of Fairmont, WV and Angelo Jacquez of Fairmont, WV and one sister, Lupe Jordan of Junction City, KS, three sister-in-laws, Betty Sapp Jacquez of Fairmont, WV, Patricia Cliburn Holloman of Torrance, CA and Karin Cliburn of Pueblo West, CO, two brother-in-laws, John Cliburn of Palm Springs, CA, Thomas Cliburn of Pueblo West, CO, 5 grandchildren, William Smith and wife Vickie of Milton, GA, Jason Smith and wife Kristina of League City, TX, Andrew Smith of Baytown, TX, Tricia Cliburn of Vestal, NY, Travis Cliburn of Philadelphia, PA, Elizabeth Cliburn of Pasadena, TX, Marian Smith of Baytown, TX, Maxwell Cliburn of Pasadena, TX, Hannah Reed of Pasadena, TX, and 5 Great Grandchildren, Brinley Smith of League City, TX, Clayton Smith of League City, TX, Wyatt Smith of Milton, GA, Liam Smith of Milton, GA and Holland Smith of Milton, GA. Other surviving family members include 14 nieces and 21 nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Josephine Jacquez Hernandez, Mary Jacquez Harper and brothers Marcus Jacquez, Joseph Jacquez, Anthony Jacquez, and Fred Jacquez.
She retired after 16 years as Customer Service Manager with Bon Ton Department store in Fairmont, WV, formerly Hess's Department store.
She was a former member of St. Peter the Fisherman, Fairmont, WV and was an active member of the Pastoral Council, Bereavement Luncheon Committee and a member of the St. Rose of Lima Guild.
Visiting hours will take place at Domico Funeral home on Thursday, October 17 th from 4pm-8pm. Christian Funeral Liturgy will be at 10am on Friday, October 18 th at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with a Funeral Lunch to follow.
