Beloved by all who knew her.

Stephany Theresa Southern, 75, passed away January 21, 2023, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephan Kuretza and Theresa Retton Kuretza.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Southern, who took care of her at home as her primary caregiver with true love and compassion throughout her illness. She is also survived by her daughter Shelley Stone (husband, David) and brother, Charles Kuretza (wife, Marj). She leaves behind three grandchildren, Stephen (wife, Lauren), Kayla & Sarah, as well as her beloved cat, Cookie. She also leaves behind two nephews, Lance & Brandon Kuretza.

Stephany loved nothing more than her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, and made every holiday a special event for her family and friends. She loved animals and had many dogs and cats throughout her life. She was not only active in donating to animal rescue organizations; Stephany also cared for and rescued many strays.

Stephany was a Christian by faith and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.
