Steven Jackson Scott, 79 if Fairmont, passed away March 5, 2020 at the Genesis Tygart Center. He was born in Clarksburg to the late Dorotha Scott Thone and Ralph J. Scott.

He graduated from North High School in Akron, OH. He served in the Navy from 1960 – 1963 before returning to Fairmont.

He married Judith (Hawkins) Scott in 1966. They had three children: Mrs. Robert Moore (Melanie) of Rivesville, Mrs. Edward (Tim) Stephanie Parker of Port Wentworth, GA, and Mark (Tracie) Scott of Pricketts Creek Road.

He worked at FMCTA for 26 years before retiring. He had 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He has donated his body to the West Virginia Human Gift Registry in Morgantown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 301 Jackson Street Fairmont, WV 26554. The family would like to thank the Tygart Center and all employees who took care of him on 200 Hall. Thanks also to Amedisys Hospice and Rev. D.D. Meighen for praying over him.
