Thomas Edward Huffman, 62, of Monongah, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2026. He was born on February 28, 1964, a son to the late Richard Watt Huffman and Dorothy Opal Guthrie Huffman.
Tom loved nothing more than his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Toni Edgell Huffman, his daughters Kelsey Cottrell and her husband Rusty, and Chloe Burkel and her husband Alec. He was the proudest “Peepaw” to his five grandchildren; Amelia Grace Cottrell, Elias Lee Cottrell, Layne Kenneth Cottrell, Levy Jo Burkel, and Stellan Thomas Burkel. He is also survived by three siblings; Roger Huffman (Kim), Diane Prunty (Michael), and Rodney Huffman (Melissa) and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Richard Huffman and Christopher Huffman.
Tom worked in sanitation for Republic Services for over thirty years. A hard worker to his core, he took great pride in supporting his family. He was his happiest at home, with Toni, his rock, by his side and surrounded by his daughters and grandbabies.
To know Tom was to love him. A goofy and all around light hearted man, he lit up any room he entered and always had a joke up his sleeve. He never forgot to tell you he loved you and he gave the tightest and warmest hugs.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Vigil rites will be performed on Sunday at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah with Father Romeo Bacalso as Celebrant and followed by interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, also in Monongah. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
