Timothy Loren Cox, 65, of Fairmont passed away on April 9th, 2026 in Morgantown, WV. He was born August 2,1960 in Colorado Springs, CO to Doris Jane (Jenkins) Cox and William Loren Cox (both deceased). In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by his older sister, Pamela Miller.

He is survived by his sister Julie Thompson and brother Brett Cox both of Colorado Springs; daughters Meredith McCracken and Madison Cox; nephews Nicholas Thompson, Johnathan Thompson, and Billy Cox; nieces Kimberly Cox, Brittany Cox, Maleena Coffman, Segrid Knight, Katarina Gump and many other family members and loved ones.

Timothy lived in several places throughout his life, growing up in Colorado and ultimately settling in West Virginia. He graduated from University of Colorado Boulder and went on to work as a Mechanical Engineer for over 35 years as President of CMA Engineering and a Senior Engineer with many other firms. Throughout his life he worked with institutions such as the Fairview Lions Club, facilitating fundraisers and community programs for those in need. Timothy mentored many people throughout his career as an Engineer and member of the community and will be missed by many.

Though it is a relief he is no longer in pain, his memory will be forever in those he touched.
