Obituary

Tobias A. (Tobie) Mullins of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Fitzwater's Assisted Living with family by his side. He was born on March 21, 1927 in Bethleham, WV the son of the late Samuel and Naoma Mullins.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Amelia (Mollie) Fuccelo Mullins; two daughters, Linda Hayhurst and husband Ed of Fairmont and Rhonda Baird and husband Ray of Huntersville, NC; four grandchildren, Marissa Hayhurst Travinski and husband Jack of Morgantown, and Kyle Baird, Laura Baird, and Lindsey Baird Joreid and husband Grant of Huntersville, NC; and one great grandson, Dylan Travinski of Morgantown.

Tobias was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Nay as a signal man 3C. aboard the U.S.S. Okanogan.  He was also a member of the UMWA, having worked as a union miner for over 20 years.  He later took a position with the Consolidation Coal Co. and retired from Loveridge Mine as a maintenance supervision.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Samuel (Bud), Raymond, and Donald; and three sisters, Ethel, Mary and Juanita.

Tobie chose cremation and requested there to be no viewing.

His family would like to thank Dr. Perry Hall, Mary Joyce, Sharon and his staff for the many years of care and comfort, and the staff of Fitzwater's Assisted living and Amedysis Hospice for the love and compassion shown to our dad in his final days.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com
