Tulasi
Joshi
Jun 15, 1939 — Jan 30, 2026
In 1964, he left Bajhang and traveled to the United States in pursuit of higher education, at a time when there were only a handful of Nepalis in this country. That journey , filled with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination, defined the man he was- a dreamer with purpose and a heart committed to learning and service.
Dr. Joshi devoted his life to academics and to shaping the futures of others. Education was not just his profession, but his passion and his mission. He believed deeply that knowledge could transform lives, families, and communities, across borders and generations.
A respected academician, geologist, philanthropist, and visionary, he gave selflessly. Dr. Joshi donated generously to Shree National Secondary School in Dhangadi, Nepal which was later renamed in his honor as Shree National Tulasiram Secondary School.
He established multiple scholarship funds, supported over 120 students in pursuing higher education in the United States, contributed generously to universities including Fairmont, and helped countless students in both Nepal and the U.S. build brighter futures.
For his lifelong contributions, he received numerous national and international awards in both the United States and Nepal, a recognition of the profound impact of his work and service.
He was a loving mentor to many and a constant source of encouragement to our family. He took immense pride in seeing dreams fulfilled and lives uplifted.
He lived his 87 years with humility, grace, and an unwavering commitment to others.
He passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026.
Though he is no longer with us, his values, generosity, and legacy will live on through every life he touched.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
