Virginia Ruth (Mitchell) Bell, 83, passed from this life on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born on December 10, 1937 in Fairview, WV to the late C. Albert and Nellie (Stiles) Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, Ruthie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Fredrick E. Bell, Sr.; her brothers, Edgar (Kay), Jack (Martha), Francis (Patty), and James Mitchell; a sister, Carrie Piteleski (Joe). Left to cherish her are her 4 children, Vicki Bell Jennings (Mark) of Palm Harbor, FL, Penny Bell Lindamood (Scott) of Parkersburg, WV, Jill Bell Steel (Jeff) of Fairview, WV, and Fred Bell, Jr. (Brandy) of Bridgeport, WV; many nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren; Chad (Sarah), Nicolette, Bethany (Aryn), Derek (Aurela); Nathan (Haley); Alexis (Trey); Ashley (Devon); Andrew and Olivia; and two great grandchildren, Willa and Kendall; sister-in-laws, Eileen Mitchell, Jackie Bell, and brother-in-law, John Bell (Jackie), and her faithful companion, Ellie Mae.

She was a lifetime member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, lead the children's choir, and director for Fairview Little Majorette for many years. She also opened her home to 13 foster children over the years.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home – Curry Chapel, 100 Grant Street, Fairview, WV, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jo McCartney officiating.
