Wauneda Soles Evans, 91 of Fairmont, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020. She was born in Fairmont on August 6, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Blanche Soles.

Wauneda is survived by her sons, Bill Evans and wife Mary, Brian Evans and his wife Patti, and Benny Evans and friend Pam McCoy; grandchildren, Erin Gorman and husband Dave, Ashley Painter and husband Luke, Linsey Evans, Brett Evans and wife Crystal, Brianna Wimbish and husband Chuck, Jeremy Evans and wife Jennifer, Becky Wilson and husband Jeremy, Jennifer Smith Wilson and husband Chris, and Kyle Evans; great grandchildren, Connor and Cooper Gorman, Joshlynn and Marissa Boone, Maddox Wilbish, Camden, Brayden, and Brea Evans, Cali, Kate, and Christopher Smith, and Evan Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Delores McElwee and Charlotte Soles; daughter-in-law, Judy; special niece, Bonnie Moats, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wauneda was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Don Evans; two sons, Bob and Bruce Evans; daughter-in-law, Diane Evans; and her siblings, Chester, Jim, Link, John and Bud Soles, and Leona Grove and Irene Nicholson. Wauneda was the last member of her family of eight siblings.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Sandy Wildman, Lorletta Sanders, Annette Long and her nurse, Courtney McKnight, and to Amedisys Hospice.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Enterprise, WV.
